Ecclesiastes 10:19 A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.

Greetings to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ the saviour. Like I said when I began the exploration of this subject, the tree-piece-cord involved are the prophet, the teacher [apostles] and the wise man. Now to the wise man. The Wiseman position is a little different from the position of the prophets and the apostles. What a contradiction! But that is to be expected because the wise man never told us he heard from God what he penned down that day that has gone out through the ages, with many christian’s perceiving that statement as something that spurs them to look for money by all means and many preachers waving God’s blessing on your life based on how much you are worth as an individual. The wise man is not representing God in this whole this, neither has he asserted that. Rather, he told us how he got his view. Read with me the followings I took all quotations as usual from the King James version of the bible.

Ecclesiastes 1:3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?

Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 1:14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Ecclesiastes 2:19 And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun. This is also vanity.

Ecclesiastes 2:22 For what hath man of all his labour, and of the vexation of his heart, wherein he hath laboured under the sun?

Ecclesiastes 3:16 And moreover, I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness that iniquity was there.

The prominent word here, the word that stands out here, is under the sun. King Solomon, the supposed writer, was merely writing about what is happening in our world today; A world that has alienated itself from the ways of God. He is telling us how to be a high flyer in this world without God. And that is possible! You can be a mover and shaker of the society without God and without going to church. It is a lie for anyone or preacher like myself to tell you can not make it without God. In this world, there is a system that applies to all who want to make money and you do not have to include God to make that money! Some of these systems are even crooked. How many billionaires go to church?

The rich man Jesus our lord spoke about in the bible did not include God in his wealth yet, he prospered according to our lord. Matthew 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

God can give money, but that is not the primary blessings that the christian, who comes to God, through Jesus christ gets. That is not even one of the divine promises by God. God’s blessings states from within. Not from without.

I dare to open up with this cracker: money is a building block for your castle. Do you believe that one from me? Well, your answer does not really matter. For seeing the place money occupies in our modern day. Money is glorified, taunted, and exalted above all else. That is where man has placed money up in that pedestal where it screams at you and I worship me or you will be down there occupying the lowest ladder of degeneration, penury and dehumanization. Money says you can not measure success without using me as a yardstick. I buy the fleet of cars, the flotilla of airplanes. It says I cough in Mexico and they heard it in Manilla; I sneezed in cape and they heard it in Cairo. But not all men bow to money or at least those who have renewed thier mind according to the word of God, Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Let us therefore hear the views of the aforementioned teachers of the word who left us a footmark to follow.

Paul’s view:

The love of money and its consequence: 1 Timothy 6:10 ,For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. If money or having enormous wealth is part of our inheritance, then why would Paul say these things that will slow us down in our quest for money? Paul worked as a tent marker , encouraging others to work with thier hands for thier need.

His way of life tells it all: 2 Thessalonians 3:8-10 Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

Paul’s command: For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

There is no passage, absolutely no passage in the scripture that tells us that we become wealthy either by paying tithe or being a major contribution to the project at hands.2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

With that said i want to let readers know I am not here to condemn the use of money, neither am i here to tell you that the pursuit to get money or amass money is against good principles. My views are from how God blesses you with money if indeed HE does.

[King James Version] To understand where i am going and want you to go with me, i first have to present you three characters in the bible. One, the prophet, two, the teacher of the word of God and three, the wise man.

Now, the prophets; these people were the special mouthpiece of God, though God in His highways spoke through mere men like when he spoke through King David in the messianic psalms. That was one way that proof David was indeed beloved of God. These prophets were neither rich nor given to affluence. They were more associated with penury that abundance. Seeing a major prophet like Elijah in those days was a sight to behold in shock rather than in opulence. Let us also go to the new testament of the bile. We see a man described by our lord and savior Jesus Christ, the man John the Baptist. Read with me; Matthew 11:7-9 And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind? But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. ‘More than prophet”. Note before Jesus assessed John, he first let us know that his appearance was nothing to write home about. See the biblical description of John the greatest in the book of Matthew 3:4 “And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. In the old and new testament, money, affluence and opulence played no role in the work or personal life of these prophets.

The teachers are the disciples and the apostles, able represented by Paul, peter and john.

Archiving your dream in today’s world is like passing through the eye of a needle for most youth, especially in a society where the government does not I care about the welfare of its citizen. The politicians see politics as a conduit pipe to amass wealth, ‘ chop your own clean mouth’, and leave for the next politicians to take his own share of the national cake [while all the time the poverty rate of the governed continues to grow astronomically.] So when the few who can make it outside politics emerged, their story is that of hard work and grit financial sagacity and a strict economy that only the determined can survive. For the many who admire them, they cannot help but want to hear them talk, write about their story from rags to riches.

He should give such loyalty displayed by those men to God, only not to man. Truth said.

But there is time for everything. King David was relaxing, and that was to be his undoing. Samson was the power of God in man to do the superhuman, but when he was relaxing with a woman like David, that was to be his undoing.King Solomon inherited a peaceful kingdom courtesy of his father; therefore, the men where available no life of able-bodied men lost in battle, no young woman was suddenly rendered a widow for losing a man in battle. So King Solomon decide another way put them all to his use, and they hardly had time for themselves and family while Solomon had all the time to marry from across the border; from far-away countries and relax in the company of women, which was to be his undoing.

One of the foremost pastors and, indeed, one of the meekest man i ever know clocks 81 today. way back in the early eighties, it was some of his Sunday-school books that fed me and nurture me spiritually. Thanks to my local church, who, though not affiliated with his ministry, taught it best for his books to be used on our Sunday. If the modern days Pentecostal tows this man line, the place of the church in Nigeria would have been more formidable to the enemy than it is today. A man who believes in sound doctrine devoid of the get-rich-scheme of many ministries today. A man who believes in brokenness and restoration. Thank you, sir, and more grace. May your passion for the work of the Lord never stop.

Emerging reports suggest that many worshippers have died and several others have been left injured following the explosion at the church, which is situated close to the palace of the Olowo of Owo.

According to local sources, no fewer than 50 corpses have been moved out of the church with many casualties lying at the Federal Medical Center, Owo, for medical attention.

They explained that they caught the congregation unawares, saying the casualty might be more as some worshippers who were taken to the hospital have given up.

According to sources, the gunmen also used some explosives within the compound of the church but said most of the people were hit by bullets.they said the perpetrators fled the scene immediately they carried out the killing, leaving many people dead.

Owo Attack: We Will Hunt Down Assailants, Make Them Pay – Akeredolu

•Condemns Attack, Condoles With Families of The Victims

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, is deeply saddened by the unprovoked attack and killing of innocent people of Owo, worshiping at the St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, on Sunday.

The vile and satanic attack is a calculated assault on the peace-loving people of Owo Kingdom who have enjoyed relative peace over the years.

“It is a black Sunday in Owo. Our hearts are heavy. The enemies of the people has attacked our peace and tranquility. This is a personal loss, an attack on our dear state.

“I have spoken to the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ondo, Most Reverend Jude Arogundade, who is presently on his way to Owo. Similarly, I have had to cut short my party’s national assignment in Abuja and visit Owo immediately.

“This is an unexpected development. I am shocked. We shall commit every available resource to hunt down these assailants and make them pay. We shall never bow to the machinations of heartless elements in our resolves to rid our state of criminals.

“I commiserate with my people in Owo, particularly families of those who lost their lives to this ugly and unfortunate attack. I extend my condolences to Olowo of Owo, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye, as well as the Catholic Church.

“I urge our people to remain calm and vigilant. Do not take laws into your hands. I have spoken to the heads of the security agencies. They have equally assured me that they would deploy security operatives to monitor and restore normalcy to Owo kingdom.” Akeredolu said.

Psalms 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

King David had the honor of being the first person to make know to us the intention of the Godhead to allow the Holy Spirit to dwell within us as an individual, not a prophet, in a permanent state. This was only a revelation to King David. This was to happen after the price for sin was paid and the triumphant resurrection of the Lord had occurred. The Holy Spirit was a promise made to the New Testament believers. It was a priceless honor given to all who believe in the lord Jesus Christ. It is pertinent to note that King David had more than once experience momentary prophetic utterance of event that would have been a reserve for the Major Prophet, Why would David plead with God almighty not to take away the Holy spirit from him, but the holy spirit was not living within man at that time so why. David must have repented and forgiven before he penned this psalm. God influenced his thoughts and inspired him to utter Him, the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it is right to say the writing of those psalms was not immediately after the visitation of the prophet. Days or even months must have elapsed, and he had prayed and asked God for forgiveness before this time, hence the prophetic revelation of the gift of the Holy Spirit that will dwell within man. Let us remember God will never reveal His thoughts to a man with unconfessed sin in his heart, for God is a Holy God.

Comes in a measure: The spiritual thing about this wonderful person is that it comes in measure ad one can build on this measure to the brim, hence being full of the holy spirit. Luke 4:1 And Jesus, being full of the Holy Ghost, returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

ACTS AS A GUIDE: still in the book of Luke, we see the word LED. Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God; they are the sons of God. He does not lead many today. That is why we make a lot of mistakes concerning decisions in our personal or matrimonial life. The cramming the whole bible is not how we are led but the place of the holy spirit is to lead us into the will of God concerning our personal choices if we are willing.

A PERFECT COMFORTER: John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

A TEACHER WITHIN US: John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

I want to stress and emphasize a basic fact; that the Holy spirit is a person and not a force. He is the third member of the Godhead. see John16:13, again He was used in Jesus announcement not It. That is why he can talk to you, guide you and comforts you. Do you have the holy spirit living in you? if not now is the right time as you read this.

The residents in Port Harcourt, southern Nigeria, were once again plunged into grief on hearing of yet another church collapse. Just four years ago, there was a church has collapsed in the same Port Harcourt.

At least 31 people have been killed during a stampede at a church charity event in southern Nigeria’s Port Harcourt city, according to the police.

Hundreds of people who had turned up to receive food at the event early on Saturday broke through a gate, causing the stampede, Grace Iringe-Koko, police spokesperson for Rivers state, of which Port Harcourt is the capital, said.

Many of the people queued from Friday to gain access to the Port Harcourt Polo Club – the venue of the annual “Shop for Free” charity programme organised by the Kings Assembly pentecostal church.

“People were there earlier, and some got impatient and started rushing, which led to stampeding. The police are on the ground monitoring the situation while the investigation is ongoing,” Iringe-Koko told Reuters.

The police spokesperson said seven others were injured but are “responding to treatment” in the stampede’s wake at the event that organisers said was aimed to “offer hope” to the needy.

The police spokesperson said an investigation has been launched, and they would release a report in due course.

Al Jazeera’s Fidelis Mbah reporting from the Nigerian capital, Abuja said the death toll could rise.

“Witnesses say the number could be higher than the official figure given by police. A similar incident also happened in December 2020 after a business organisation tried to give out donations to poor people in Port Harcourt,” Mbah said.

“About eight people were killed in that incident. The government has called for they put an investigation to find out whether adequate security measures are in place to ensure such incidents do not happen again,” he added.

Videos from the scene showed the clothing and shoes meant for the beneficiaries scattered on the ground. Doctors and emergency workers treated some of the injured as they lay in the open field.

How do you define this wonderful barometer that we have ignored for so long? This again shame the critics of the wonderful creature of God called man. Let me begin by saying this; Conscience is not the same thing as the Holy spirit. For you can have a defective conscience, a conscience that is no longer acting like a moral barometer because you have deadened it by your constant negative tendencies. But the holy spirit can not be defective, but can be grieved.

CONSCIENCE NOT SAME AS THE HOLYSPIRIT: Romans 9:1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost. All believer has the gift of the holy spirit while he possesses a conscience.

BIRTH OF CONSCINECE: Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. The formation of man was also the formation of conscience. A barometer was thus deposited in man to function.

FIRST DISPLAY OF CONSCINECE: Genesis 3:8-10 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

A GOOD INNER JUDGE: John 8:6-9 This, they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

INBUILT WITNESS: Romans 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

PAUL’S REFERENCE: Acts 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

CONSCIENCE TESTIFIES TO OUR WORKS:2 Corinthians 1:12 For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

WEAK CONSCIENCE:1 Corinthians 8:7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

DEFECTIVE CONSCIENCE: Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.1 Timothy 1:19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some, having put away concerning faith, have made shipwreck:

The question now remains if we have a good conscience, that inbuilt moral guidance?
