All over the world nothing seems to have caused division within the body of christ, the church, like COVID-19 vaccine. Some popular pastors and televangelist seems to have taken a different stance from that of the government. From America to Europe across Africa, many of these pastors frown at christian taking the vaccines, but with different views. REV. Chris Okotie have attracted a lot of views to his conspiracy of the Virus on his YouTube channel of the church; he believes and has a very persuasive lecture on Bill Gates, has a sinister motive, and Satan has used him to perpetuate his agenda in this end time, using the number 10. Chris Okotie is one of the popular pastors in Nigeria and the head of Household of God church.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome needs no introduction in televangelism. He alleged that the administration of a COVID-19 vaccine will a ruse to enthrone a “new world order” led by the anti-Christ.
founder and pastor of the Love world Incorporated, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has questioned the faith of Nigerian Christians receiving AstraZeneca vaccine against coronavirus.
Oyakhilome revealed Christians should believe in the word of God more than the vaccine, adding that they are healers.
He also berated the Nigerian government for asking pastors to convince their members to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
It contained this in a viral video he released on Monday.
“What happened to you? Where is the word of God in your mouth? Do you realise if you believe in the word of God the way you believe in this vaccine, there will be a power in your mouth? He made us healers. What’s wrong? What happened to you? When did we make such recommendations to God’s people? For God’s sake, think again!
The Nigerian government received the first batch of 4 million doses of AstraZeneca COVAX early March, and President Muhammadu Buhari and his deputy, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, took jabs publicly to convince Nigerians to also take the vaccine.
However, a lot of controversies have surrounded the importation and use of the AstraZeneca vaccine in Nigeria as several European countries, including Germany, Sweden, Latvia, Luxemburg, France, Italy, Spain, Cyprus have suspended the administration of the drug over fears of having costly side effects until recently when more investigation proves otherwise. Pastor Sam Adeyemi, the senior pastor of the Daystar Christian Centre, has a different take on this he said over a year ago: He noted that the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic also adversely affected Nigeria, and resulted in the shutting down of churches, mosques, schools and markets he is one of a few pastors who take the side of science in this pandemic Bishop David Oyedepo, whose church the winner’s chapel is in every nook and cranny of most state in Nigeria, once described the covid as a mere fever. He was foremost in opposing the lockdown in Nigeria He once described the continued lockdown on churches as a demonic attack: “I can smell a rat. The forces of darkness are influencing people at various levels because the growth of the church is the greatest headache of the devil,” he said. A senior pastor of a ministry,
Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Akure, Ondo State, Pastor Adewale Giwa, has said that he will rather die than allow himself to be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
The pastor-cum-social critic in a release on Wednesday added he had advised his church members, family and friends not to take the COVID-19 vaccine. The pastor said, “There is a difference between a religious leader and a spiritual leader. You can have a master’s degree in Theology, and as well be a leader in the church without being led by the Holy Spirit. Anybody who is biblically sound can also wake up today to become a religious leader recognised by a religious body or by the government.
“However, spiritual leadership comprises three principal components: vision, hope and faith. A spiritual leader rules, guides, and inspires others. To me, those asking their members to take COVID-19 vaccines are short-sighted religious leaders who are not led by the Holy Spirit.
“Our God is omnipotent, omniscient; He is the Alpha and Omega. You don’t have more power than your creator. How can you neglect God for a vaccin
In the Netherlands, a church in Urk has said it will open its doors to worshippers again out of concern for their ‘spiritual welfare’. The Sion church has room for 500 people and since Sunday, everyone without symptoms has been welcome, without the need to wear face masks or keep to the 1.5 metre distance rule. ‘Not that we know better or that we don’t listen to the government. We want to be obedient to government, while following God’s teaching,’ church elder Hessel Snoek told Trouw newspaper. In addition, infection rates on Urk have come down and there are no cases of coronavirus within the church community, he said. As the pandemic persists and no one can say when this will end, the church is gradually towing a part different from that of the governments and one wonders what the consequence of this will be.
Be seeing you,
HE is risen!
