Recently the people in the eastern part of a state in Nigeria, a country in West Africa, the youth of a named quarter took the laws into their hands as they marched in fury and youthful energy, to an infamous secluded area, carried out a destruction of the property in the building then razed it to the ground, smoke going up the skies like a fiery chimney. The elation that greeted the youth for their destructive acts would appear shocking to a visitor and a passerby. Why would the residence of an areas welcome such an act? Why give the irate you on their back a heroes’ welcome?
“The Assemblies of Light Bearer Greater Church of Lucifer, popularly known as the Church of Satan, in Ohafia, founded by Mr. Ifekwe Udo, has been knocked down and vandalised by youths of the community for the evil it has started,” one of the sources stated. The name Ifekwe Udo, A.K. A Fada-fada. The source stated, “He became popular in the past quarter of a decade for his visible efforts in providing employment opportunities for the jobless youths of the community. He gave the jobless youth motorcycles on hire purchase “He later opened a brothel also in Ohafia, which allowed same-sex relationship. The people of Ohafia knew his evil practices, but nobody could confront him because of his connections. His so-called church was a haven of men with shady character with him as their leader together. They wrecked havoc in the small community. We know him to be involved in child trafficking. His atrocities as a pastor of this evil church was so much that the monarch stated that already, the Ebem community and the entire Ohafia clan had banished him, but this did not deter him from carrying out his nefarious and evil activities. Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. But recently he, too, met his waterloo in the hands of the police force. Eze Ujurueze, confirmed the report and stated that the police from Abuja arrested Udo because he was involved in the recent burning down of the Ohafia Divisional Police Station and other government institutions, including courts.
Strange enough the Church of Satan in the US reacted to a twit by one of the youth by saying they are not to be associated with nefarious activities. But is this rational? A name is the first impression you get of a company if it is a building company or a plumbing one. Your name can not associate with evil, and now and then you deny association with evil. Why not change your name from what is synonymous with evil to what is synonymous with light, goodness and mercy if you represent Christ? It is laughable for me not to expect a swamp of flies after rubbing my body with the leftover of a rotten remains; if I stay long enough in a room with a distinctive odour, I will carry the odour along if I like it. We expect the church of Satan in America, to come out of their shadowy history and change their name to a noble one to dissociate with evil instead of their terse reply to all those who condemn them.
Finally, hear the words of our lord and saviour, Jesus in Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
